There Are Perks to Being a Shark

As a graduate of Nova Southeastern University, you have a free, lifetime membership to the Alumni Association and all the benefits and discounted services that come with it.

The NSU Alumni Association partners with different organizations to give you discounted rates and memberships for things like insurance, fitness, museums, and more.

 

On-Campus Benefits and Discounts

Even after you graduate, you still have access to these on-campus NSU facilities. Take advantage of special, discounted memberships and enjoy NSU’s state-of-the-art fitness center, research library, art museum, and learning institute.

Members of the NSU Alumni Association enjoy free access to select research databases offered by the NSU Alvin Sherman Library.

How do I register for the Research Database access?

Update your record and check the box for “Have access to select research databases.” Once your record is verified by the NSU Alumni Association, please allow 7-10 business days to obtain access. Requests are uploaded into the library system each week. You will receive a notification when your account is accessible from the NSU Alumni Association to the email you provided in your record update.

How do I obtain a library card?

Broward County alumni can obtain a library card with proof of residency.

All other alumni can receive a library card by presenting their NSU Alumni Association (NSUAA) membership card, which you receive after you graduate in your NSUAA welcome packet. If you do not have a membership card, please contact the NSU Alumni Association at (877) 478-0576 or email us at alumni@nova.edu.

The NSU Alvin Sherman Library is now providing document delivery services to registered NSU alumni located within and outside of Broward County. We will electronically deliver articles and book chapters available in the NSU Libraries to registered NSU alumni.

Document delivery requests can be submitted through our ILLiad service.
As an NSU alumnus, you are eligible for membership to the university’s 110,000 square foot recreational facility, which includes:
  • More than 50 group fitness classes a week
  • Over 200 pieces of strength and cardio equipment
  • Heated swimming pool
  • Two-story rock wall

After you graduate, you are entitled to a continued 60-day grace period for using the RecPlex. After your 60 days have expired, you can purchase an Alumni Membership for $35/month to continue your work-outs at NSU.

All NSU Alumni are eligible for a discounted Individual NSU Alumni Membership of $55 (100% tax deductible). This membership includes:

  • FREE general Museum admission for one adult for 12 months
  • Invitations to members-only exhibition previews and receptions
  • Advance notification of art excursions including trips to Art Basel Miami Beach
  • Discounted admission to featured lectures and performances
  • 10% Museum store/café discounts
  • Double discounts in the Museum store/café year-round
  • Opportunity to join volunteer/special interest groups

Located on NSU's Fort Lauderdale East Campus in the College of Osteopathic Medicine, the Lifelong Learning Institute serves lifelong learning passions of retired adults. This institute was founded to complete the NSU dream of education spanning a whole lifetime, from preschool to older-adult learning.
